Speaking during a panel session at the Berlin Foreign Policy Forum, Safadi stressed that Jordan will not deploy troops to Gaza but will contribute to training Palestinian police forces.

He highlighted that the Palestinian police must be responsible for maintaining security and stability in Gaza, adding that Hamas should hand over its weapons.

Safadi noted that Jordan is deeply involved in international efforts to resolve the conflict and reach a just and comprehensive solution, emphasizing the need for effective security arrangements that ensure safety for both Palestinians and Israelis.

He reiterated that the two-state solution is the only path to comprehensive and lasting peace and that this path must lead to the establishment of a Palestinian state. He accused Israel of continuously undermining the two-state solution.

Safadi stressed that the international community agrees there is no alternative to the two-state solution and underscored the importance of remaining united to protect and achieve it.

He added that peace is the only route to a better future for the region, a future that should be built on cooperation rather than conflict.

Safadi also reaffirmed that Gaza must remain an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territories and that Israel must withdraw from the Strip.

He warned that daily settler attacks on Palestinians are pushing the West Bank toward an explosion, saying, “We do not want that to happen.”
