The agreement strengthens the two countries’ cooperation in the field of higher education, in accordance with King Abdullah and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ directives, and in implementation of a previously signed agreement of cultural cooperation between Jordan and Palestine.

A Jordanian-Palestinian committee will supervise the implementation of the program.

The two ministers emphasized the depth of brotherly relations between the two countries, and affirmed that they will further strengthen cooperation and expand it to include other areas that would help advance the higher education sector and scientific research in both countries.

The cooperation program also encourages universities and institutes to collaborate directly through exchange of visits by faculty members.
