AMMAN — One of Amman’s most
dangerous drug dealers has been arrested, according to the
Public SecurityDirectorate (PSD).

The PSD spokesman said that the dealer’s
whereabouts were determined after an investigative team from the Anti-Narcotics
Department followed up on a lead about unknown persons possessing large
quantities of narcotic pills and hiding them in a vacant area near Amman, Khaberni reported
The investigation team was able to locate
the hiding place of the narcotic pills east of Amman. In a raid, they
discovered 400,000 narcotic pills inside five large bags, buried in an empty field.
One of those who had hidden the cache was
identified as a wanted and armed drug dealer, classified as “dangerous”. His
whereabouts were determined, and a raid took place in which security forces
arrested him. He is currently being interrogated by the authorities.
In a related development, security forces
raided the house of a drug dealer in the central Badia. A search of the
premises revealed 35 palm-sized packages of hashish and 6,000 narcotic pills,
and the dealer was arrested.
