AMMAN — Local media outlet Al-Ghad News
was informed by a knowledgeable source that no autopsy was performed on the
body of Jordanian actor Ashraf Telfah, who died in a suspicious circumstances
in Egypt.

His body was flown home from Cairo on Saturday and
was handed over to his family for burial.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates
confirmed that it is following up with the Egyptian authorities concerning
investigations into the actor’s death through the Jordanian Embassy in Cairo.
Preliminary information received by the embassy from the Egyptian security
forces indicated that there was no foul play involved in Telfah’s death.
Ministry Spokesperson Sinan Al-Majali said that the
Egyptian authorities are cooperating fully and transparently concerning the
incident, and have informed Telfah’s family of the medical assessment.
