In a statement, Director of the European Department informed Dutch envoy that the ministry was "astonished" by the ambassador’s interference in a radio license application for a non-Jordanian and non-Dutch person.

This application is processed according to laws and regulations in force and with "absolute" transparency, the official said, adding that it was "incomprehensible" that an ambassador representing a friendly country interfered in a matter governed by Jordan's laws and regulations.

The official noted Jordan is "always open to frank dialogue" that aims to address all issues with all partner and friendly countries through diplomatic channels and direct contacts, in accordance with diplomatic norms, voicing rejection to interfere in its internal affairs.
