Mubaidin urges action to combat drug smuggling amid recent JAF clashes

AMMAN — On Saturday, the Minister of Government Communication and government spokesperson, Muhannad Al-Mubaidin stated that there is an urgent need to address the issue of drugs that threatens national security, emphasizing the necessity of building a regional strategy to confront them, Al-Mamalaka TV reported.اضافة اعلان

This comes after a military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army (JAF) reported that since early Saturday, armed clashes have been taking place between the Jordanian Border Guard forces and significant armed groups of smugglers on the northern borders of Jordan, falling under the jurisdiction of the Eastern Military Zone.

Additionally, Mubaidin said that a statement will be issued regarding the ongoing operation by JAF.
