More drugs seized at norther border due to new rules of engagement

AMMAN — Head of the Public Security Directorate-Borders and Residence Department Ahmed Khleifat said that rouge elements in the Syrian army cooperate with drug traffickers, as well as with Hezbollah and Iran militias deployed in southern Syria, in smuggling drugs near the Jordanian border, according to Al-Ghad News.اضافة اعلان

From the beginning of 2022 until the beginning May, the directorate seized more than 19 million narcotic pills and large amounts of cannabis.

Khleifat said higher quantities of drugs have been seized in the past five months because the rules of armed engagement changed on the northern front of some 375km.
