AMMAN — The Minister of Justice met with the Regional Director of the International Organization for Migration today. Dr. Ahmed Al-Ziadat, the Minister of Justice, hosted Mr. Adel Al-Belbeisi, the regional director of the International Organization for Migration, along with Tajma Kurt, the Head of the International Organization's Mission in Jordan, and their accompanying delegation. The meeting also included the presence of Judge Dr. Saad Al-Louzi, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Justice for Judicial Affairs.اضافة اعلان

During the meeting, Ziadat underscored the Kingdom’s commitment to cooperation, coordination, and partnership in the field of enhancing the human rights system across various domains.

He emphasized the importance of taking necessary measures to combat human trafficking. He pointed out that these efforts included amendments to the law on preventing human trafficking, which now offers greater protection for victims of this crime.

Additionally, he mentioned the launch of a national mechanism designed to assist human trafficking victims in accordance with international best practices. Furthermore, he highlighted the development of a national strategy to prevent human trafficking, encompassing key objectives, activities, and anti-trafficking mechanisms.

He expressed his appreciation for the collaboration with the International Organization for Migration. In response, Belbeisi conveyed his full support for Jordan and offered assistance in various capacities to further these efforts.
