The Minister of Education, Azmi Mahafzah, addressed a message to teachers on the occasion of "Arab Teacher's Day," observed annually on February 25th.

Mahafzah stated that teachers are the fundamental pillar of the educational process, upon whom the renaissance of nations and the building of societies depend. He added that through their knowledge, the features of awareness are shaped; in their classrooms, values are instilled; and through their dedication, the meanings of belonging and loyalty to the homeland and its wise Hashemite leadership are embodied.
Gratitude for Educational Service
"I am pleased to extend to you, on my behalf and on behalf of the educational community, my sincerest feelings of pride and appreciation for your sincere efforts and continuous dedication in fulfilling your noble educational mission, serving our students, and contributing to building the Jordanian individual capable of shaping their future with confidence and competence," said the Minister.
Government Support and Incentives
Mahafzah emphasized that the Ministry firmly believes that real investment starts with the teacher, noting that the quality of education is inseparable from a teacher's professional status, stability, and support.
He outlined a package of supportive measures taken by the Jordanian government, which include:
Housing Facilities: Allocating land plots at subsidized prices.
Financial Support: Accelerating the disbursement of emergency loans.
Educational Grants: Increasing the quotas for grants and Royal Makrumas (beneficiary programs) for teachers' children in higher education institutions.
Pilgrimage Missions: Doubling the number of seats allocated for the teachers' Hajj mission.
Professional Development: Expanding training programs and improving school infrastructure and environments.
A Continuous Path of Empowerment
The Minister noted that these steps are part of an ongoing path to enhance the status of teachers, believing in their pivotal role in building generations and crafting the nation's future.
"On this day, we renew our pride in you, so that we may continue working in a spirit of partnership and integration to elevate education in our beloved Jordan," Mahafzah concluded.
