In a statement, the ministry explained that municipalities, with direct support from joint services councils and municipal affairs directorates, activated emergency and proactive response plans from the very first moments of the weather event. They maintained a high level of readiness to deal with any emergencies, despite the heavy rainfall that fell within limited hours.

The ministry emphasized that joint coordination between the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, the Jordan Valley Authority, administrative governors, and the Civil Defense Directorate contributed to rapid field response and the immediate handling of reports as they were received.

It noted that the reports addressed mainly involved rising water levels in some streets and low-lying areas, blockages in water drainage channels, limited incidents of rainwater entering some homes, and the fall of several trees due to strong winds. The ministry confirmed that all these issues were handled and resolved by specialized field teams.

Regarding the most affected areas, the ministry said the impact of the low-pressure system was concentrated in municipalities in the northern and central regions of the Kingdom, particularly in the governorates of Irbid and Madaba. Madaba recorded the highest rainfall amount at 41 millimeters, which required intensified field efforts to reopen roads and clean drainage channels, waterways, and valleys.

As for Karak Governorate, the ministry confirmed that field teams continue to implement long-term solutions to address affected sites in several municipalities, noting that no significant problems were recorded during the low-pressure system, except for minor issues that were dealt with immediately.
