The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Department (DVLD) announced that the total amount saved by citizens, following the government’s approval of an incentive system to enhance road safety, has reached approximately half a million dinars. More than 21,000 vehicles have benefited from these incentives since March 26, 2026.

Under this system, the government granted an incentive discount of 25% on total annual licensing fees for compliant drivers who have not committed any traffic violations with their vehicles for a full year.
The Licensing Department urged drivers to maintain and elevate road safety standards, take advantage of these incentives and insurance fee reductions, avoid violations, and adhere strictly to the Traffic Law. The department confirmed that the percentage of beneficiaries over the past month reflects a high level of commitment among many drivers, which serves as a catalyst for increasing the number of beneficiaries in the future.
