Labor ministry fines 88 establishments in breach of defense order

AMMAN — The Ministry of Labor fined 88 establishments that failed to adhere to Defense Order No. 26, and closed four shops for serving argileh in enclosed spaces. Ministry Spokesperson Mohammad Al-Zyoud said that inspection personnel carried out 289 field visits around the Kingdom, noting that the fines written up were distributed as follows: 53 to establishments that did not have a health inspector appointed and 35 to establishments where the staff were not wearing facemasks.
