AMMAN — In a recent report by the Syrian newspaper Al-Watan,
it was reported that the number of
Jordanian visitors to Syria has reached
approximately 7,000 since mid-June until today.

Additionally, an estimated 2,000 visitors from various
Arab countries have also made their way to Syria during the same period. The total
number of Arab visitors to Syria during this time has now reached 9,000.
According to a source quoted by the Syrian newspaper, the
movement at the border crossing remains favorable. The
influx of arrivals to Syria has seen a significant increase, particularly in the middle of last
month, resulting in a substantial number of incoming visitors.
To ensure the smooth passage of arrivals into the country,
several measures have been implemented at the border crossing, the source said.
These measures included equipping the crossing with all
necessary requirements, such as
expanding the immigration hall, increasing the
number of commercial bank kiosks, augmenting the number of employees, and
providing the crossing with approximately 20 customs officers.
The source further explained that these preparations began a
month ago, in anticipation of the holiday period, with the aim of facilitating
the passage of visitors and preventing any congestion at the border crossing.
