According to a military source from the General Command, Border Guard units in the Southern Military Region—acting in coordination with other military security agencies—intercepted a drone attempting to cross the western border heading east. The drone was detected, tracked, and subsequently shot down within Jordanian territory after the engagement rules were applied.

The source reaffirmed the Jordanian Armed Forces' continued commitment to leveraging all available resources and capabilities to counter infiltration and smuggling attempts, thereby ensuring the Kingdom’s security and stability.
