Jordan records 841 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Thursday reached 16, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 841 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Thursday, bringing the death toll to 9,423 and the caseload to 734,039. Breaking down Thursday’s tally, the ministry said: 378 in Amman 83 in Irbid 155 in Zarqa 57 in Balqa 30 in Mafraq 19 in Ajloun 22 in Jerash 46 in Karak 4 in Maan 16 in Tafilah 23 in Aqaba 8 in Madaba The ministry added in a statement that some 62 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 83 others were admitted. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 11,285, according to the ministry’s statement. Around 3.44 percent of the 24,440 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive. Breaking down Thursday’s tally, the ministry said:

378 in Amman
83 in Irbid
155 in Zarqa
57 in Balqa
30 in Mafraq
19 in Ajloun
22 in Jerash
46 in Karak
4 in Maan
16 in Tafilah
23 in Aqaba
8 in Madaba

The ministry added in a statement that some 62 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 83 others were admitted.
