Jordan records 842 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Wednesday reached 12, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 842 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Wednesday, bringing the death toll to 9,407 and the caseload to 733,198.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Wednesday’s tally, the ministry said:

244 in Amman
86 in Irbid
109 in Zarqa
49 in Balqa
52 in Mafraq
14 in Ajloun
15 in Jerash
160 in Karak
55 in Maan
33 in Tafilah
16 in Aqaba
9 in Madaba

The ministry added in a statement that some 49 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 67 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 10,862, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 4.11 percent of the 20,491 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
