The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship announced a new update to the “Sanad” application, in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, represented by the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department.

The update removes the personal photo from the digital driving license following the adoption of the measure by the Licensing Department.
Under the update, the personal photo displayed on the digital civil ID in “Sanad” will be sufficient as the official identification document for verifying the identity of the license holder, eliminating the need for the photo to appear again on the digital driving license.
According to the ministry, the update is part of efforts to simplify the display of digital documents and facilitate their use, contributing to a smoother and clearer experience for citizens when accessing their documents through the “Sanad” application.
