Jordan records 428 new cases Saturday

AMMAN  — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Saturday reached 12, while a total of 428 new cases were recorded in Jordan, bringing the death toll to 10,285 and the caseload to 788,516.اضافة اعلان


Breaking down Saturday’s tally, the Ministry of Health stated that Amman recorded 230 cases, while Zarqa recorded 71 cases.

Irbid registered 25 cases, while Balqa recorded 5 cases.

Karak recorded 13, Jerash recorded 15 cases, and Tafileh recorded 24.

Madaba registered 6 cases, Aqaba 16, and Ajloun 14.

Mafraq registered 2 new cases.

Ramtha recorded 0 cases.

The ministry added in a statement that some 54 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 78 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 12,338, according to the Ministry of Health.

Around 2.18 percent of the 19,595 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
