Jordan records 3,389 COVID-19 cases, no deaths

AMMAN — The Ministry of Health announced Sunday that 3,389 new cases, but no deaths, were recorded in the Kingdom during the week of September 3 to 9, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

 At least 22,643 PCR tests were conducted in the specified week, 15 percent of which were positive.

The ministry said the number of COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in hospitals nationwide reached 76, compared with 62 a week earlier.

There are currently 2,967 active COVID-19 cases across Jordan, up 2 percent compared with the 2,903 recorded in the preceding week.

The ministry pointed out that the number of shots administered during the designated week stood at 1,651 for the first jab, 1,420 for the second, and 708 for the booster dose, totaling 3,851 against 3,962 in the previous week, a 2.8 percent decrease.

The number of first dose recipients stands at 4,822,016, at a 75.3 percent rate for individuals who are 18 years and older, 4,558,464 for the second jab, at a 71.2 percent rate, and 677,957 for the booster shot.
