Jordan records 2,963 new COVID-19 cases today

The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Thursday reached 70, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 2,963 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Thursday, bringing the death toll to 8,057 and the caseload to 679,138.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Thursday’s tally, the ministry said:

1,047 cases were recorded in Amman.
486 in Irbid.
376 in Zarqa.
179 in Balqa.
230 in Mafraq.
141 in Karak.
89 in Ajloun.
54 in Aqaba.
101 in Jerash.
112 in Tafileh.
60 in Maan.
88 in Madaba.

The ministry added in a statement that some 4,774 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 292 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 49,211, according to the ministry’s statement.

More than 621,870 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.

Around 13.62 percent of the 21,761 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
