Jordan records 10,085 cases, most in capital

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 10,085 new COVID-19 cases and 25 new deaths on Sunday, bringing the total death toll to 13,682 and the total number of cases to 1,570,907.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 3,618 cases, while Zarqa recorded 981 cases. Irbid registered 1,335 cases, Balqa 1,064 cases, Karak recorded 495 cases, Jerash recorded 374 cases, and Tafileh recorded 313 cases. Madaba registered 342 cases, Aqaba 374, Ramtha 325, and Ajloun 342.

The ministry said in a statement that 158 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 163 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 164,392 according to the ministry. Out of 48,680 COVID-19 tests conducted Saturday, 20.72 percent of them came back positive.
