Jordan and a number of Arab and Muslim countries on Sunday strongly condemned statements made by far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz regarding the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, including proposals for plans and mechanisms aimed at forcibly removing Palestinians from their land.

The foreign ministers of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt said Ben-Gvir and Katz's inciting statements and proposals constitute a blatant violation of the principles of international law, including international humanitarian law, and a direct threat to the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.
The ministers firmly rejected and condemned any attempts or plans aimed at displacing the Palestinian people, whether within or outside the occupied Palestinian territory, under any name or pretext.
They warned of the serious consequences of turning calls for forced displacement into an official policy or practical measures aimed at uprooting Palestinians from their land.
Such measures represent a direct challenge to international efforts to achieve peace, particularly the comprehensive plan put forward by US President Donald Trump to end the conflict in Gaza, which includes an explicit rejection of forced displacement. They also pose serious risks that could undermine prospects for stability in the region.
The ministers stressed that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory and underscored the need to preserve the territorial unity of the Palestinian territories in Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
They affirmed that the only path to achieving a just and lasting peace is through implementing the two-state solution and establishing an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
The ministers called on the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to fulfill its responsibilities and firmly confront any attempts to impose a new demographic or geographic reality in the occupied Palestinian territory, while ensuring respect for international law.
They reiterated their full support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land and their rejection of all attempts to erase the Palestinian cause or undermine the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
