Jordan Rejects Israel's Closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque Gates and Barring of Worshipers
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned, in the strongest terms, the Israeli occupation authorities' continued closure of the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif to worshipers, preventing them from performing religious rites—particularly during the holy month of Ramadan. The Ministry described this as a blatant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, the existing legal and historical status quo, and the principle of unrestricted access to places of worship.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry's official spokesperson, Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali, affirmed the Kingdom's absolute rejection and denunciation of this illegal and unjustified measure. He condemned the continued provocative actions by Israeli authorities within the Mosque and against worshipers, emphasizing that Israel has no sovereignty over occupied Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites.

Al-Majali demanded that Israel, as the Occupying Power, immediately cease the closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque's gates and stop obstructing the access of worshipers. He called on the international community to take a firm stance to compel Israel to end its persistent illegal practices and violations against the sanctity of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

The spokesperson reiterated that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, in its entirety of 144 dunams, is a pure place of worship for Muslims. He emphasized that the Jerusalem Awqaf and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs Department, affiliated with the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Places, is the sole legal authority with exclusive jurisdiction to manage the affairs of Al-Haram Al-Sharif and regulate entry to it.
