JD1.25 million real estate scam foiled in Amman

AMMAN — The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) foiled an attempt to scam a Jordanian for JD1.25 million. Two suspects allegedly attempted to use a forged check from an unnamed Arab country to pay for property in Amman, including a mansion, according to the police spokesperson. The CID received a tip on the two individuals’ attempted fraud, the spokesperson said, adding that both had been successfully identified and arrested, and that the check used in the sale had been found in their possession and seized.اضافة اعلان

The police spokesperson called on the public to follow legal procedures when buying and selling real estate to avoid any possible fraud.
