Minister of Interior Mazen Al-Faraya has approved the completion of procedures by administrative governors to release 436 administrative detainees.

The decision comes as part of the ministry’s ongoing measures aimed at giving those released an opportunity to reintegrate into society, enhance their prospects for rehabilitation, and resume their normal lives among their families and communities.
The detainees’ files and the nature of their cases were reviewed, with the authorities determining that the periods they had already spent in detention were sufficient.
The decision also reflects the ministry’s humanitarian approach to administrative detention, in accordance with the safeguards stipulated by law, while maintaining the necessary legal and security controls to limit criminal activity by individuals considered a security risk.
