IEC has legal right to monitor, audit party funding – Rawashdeh

AMMAN — The spokesperson for the Independent Election Commission (IEC), Mohammed Khair Al-Rawashdeh, emphasized that the commission has the legal authority to monitor the sources of party funding according to Articles 24 and 25 of the Parties Law.اضافة اعلان

Rawashdeh stated that the commission audits the budgets of all parties, and revenues and expenses must be transparent through the budget and knowledge of the donors. He added, in his interview with Jo24 News, that any amount exceeding JD5,000 must have its source disclosed through the party's designated bank account.
