IACC, Lithuanian SST sign anti-corruption cooperation deal

AMMAN — The Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (IACC) signed a memorandum of understanding with Lithuania’s Special Investigation Service (SST), which sets the stage for closer cooperation under the UN Convention against Corruption, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

An IACC statement Sunday said the deal was inked at the SST headquarters by its Director Zydrunas Bartkus and the IACC Chairman Muhannad Al-Hijazi.

The agreement stipulates exchanging information and training on corruption crimes and means of preventing them, implementing protective measures, raising awareness, and organizing visits, programs, and conferences.

The deal was signed on the sidelines of an IACC delegation’s visit to Lithuania and Austria to boost cooperation in anti-corruption fields within the European Union’s Twinning projects.
