The Greater Amman Municipality emphasized that climate change has created a new reality, marked by increased weather fluctuations and severe climatic events. The municipality stressed the importance of preparing citizens and various facilities for the start of the rainy season and following precautionary guidelines to ensure public safety and minimize potential damage.

The municipality called on residents to secure and organize building materials to prevent the blockage of rainwater drainage channels, check submersible pumps in basements of buildings and commercial shops, and take measures to protect goods and stores from possible water leakage. It also highlighted the importance of avoiding low-lying areas and flood channels during unstable weather conditions.
Citizens were urged not to dispose of waste or debris randomly to maintain the efficiency of the drainage network and not to connect roof gutters to sewage systems to prevent flooding. The municipality also stressed securing loose objects such as zinc sheets and billboards, and avoiding contact with electricity sources in streets and parks during rainfall.
The Greater Amman Municipality emphasized the need to monitor weather conditions and warnings issued by official authorities and to take any public safety alerts seriously.
