The Cabinet has decided to approve the settlement of outstanding arrears from 2024 owed by the Ministry of Health to pharmaceutical company warehouses, amounting to 70 million dinars. In recent weeks, the Cabinet had also approved the payment of long-standing accumulated arrears, including:

42 million dinars to printing presses commissioned for printing textbooks and educational curricula.

60 million dinars to electricity distribution companies for dues owed by various ministries and official government institutions.

10 million dinars owed by the Water Authority and 25 million dinars owed by the Yarmouk Water Company, both in favor of electricity distribution companies.

The settlement package further included:

100 million dinars to public universities.

40 million dinars to settle the debt of King Abdullah University Hospital.

10 million dinars to settle the debt of Jordan University Hospital.

Final financial results for 2025, published by the Ministry of Finance earlier this week, revealed that the government settled 620 million dinars in accumulated arrears from previous years during the 2024–2025 period. The total value of settled arrears is expected to reach 920 million dinars by the end of 2026.
