The session is drawing significant attention as it marks the parliament’s practical return to its oversight role, at a time when the Financial Committee continues deliberations on the 2026 General Budget Bill. Expectations indicate that the committee will conclude its discussions by mid-next month before submitting its recommendations to the chamber.
Government responses include answers to questions directed by MPs to various ministries. MP Dr. Jameel Al-Dheisat submitted a question to the Ministry of Agriculture regarding farmer support programs and sector policies, while MP Dr. Suleiman Al-Zaben addressed a question to the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship concerning the readiness of government e-services and digital transformation efforts.
In the transport sector, the House received responses to questions from MP Zuheir Al-Khashman directed to the Ministry of Transport regarding infrastructure and logistics services, in addition to another question by MP Tareq Bani Hani on issues related to public transportation. Tomorrow’s session comes amid heightened public interest in the effectiveness of parliamentary oversight, as citizens closely watch how MPs will address the government’s responses and whether the session will feature serious discussion of key service-related issues — particularly those related to infrastructure, municipal services, energy, education, and transport.
The session holds added significance as the first oversight meeting of the second regular term, serving as a pivotal step as the House prepares for a more active oversight phase, especially once the Financial Committee concludes its budget review and submits its recommendations in the coming weeks.
