Platform Expansion: App now available on Huawei AppGallery with full support for tablets and iPads.

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship has announced a new update for the "Sanad" app, featuring a bundle of digital services and enhancements. This initiative aims to expand the app's utility and streamline government transactions as part of the national digital transformation strategy. The update aligns with the directives of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and his oversight of the National Council for Future Technology to accelerate digital adoption.

Expanded Services for Non-Jordanians
The update enables both Jordanians and non-Jordanians to pay GAM property taxes through the app. Additionally, vehicle licensing services and traffic violation inquiries are now accessible to non-Jordanians, broadening the user base and facilitating remote transactions. For non-Jordanians and residents, vehicle licenses are now prominently displayed on the app’s homepage for immediate access.

Advanced Security & eKYC
A significant feature of this update is the ability to change registered phone numbers directly within the app using eKYC (Electronic Know Your Customer). This process involves scanning the national ID and performing a facial recognition check to verify the user's identity. This allows for secure password resets and account recovery without the need to visit government service centers in person.

Platform Compatibility and User Growth
In addition to the App Store and Google Play, "Sanad" is now available on the Huawei AppGallery and has been optimized for tablets and iPads to provide a more flexible user experience.

The Ministry emphasized that these updates are part of a continuous plan to bolster the Kingdom's digital identity system. By the end of February 2026, the number of activated digital identities on "Sanad" surpassed 2.38 million users, reflecting the goals of the Economic Modernization Vision to enhance government efficiency and save time for both citizens and residents.
