Al-Faouri stated that the new system comes as part of the municipality’s efforts to improve services provided to citizens and ensure that valet parking is organized professionally and safely.

He explained that applications to license locations offering valet parking services will be accepted within a month at the latest. He added that the municipality will establish specific standards to regulate the service in partnership with relevant authorities such as the Civil Defense, the Capital Governorate, and the Public Security Directorate, to ensure the service is provided in a manner that protects citizens’ interests.

He stressed that the use of public streets for offering valet services will not be permitted. One of the main conditions set by the municipality is that the service provider, whether a business owner or a licensed company, must own or lease a plot of land licensed specifically for vehicle parking.

Al-Faouri indicated that this regulation aims to enhance the quality of services offered to citizens, provide a safe and efficient traffic environment, and maintain the organization and comfort of the city and its residents.
