COVID-19 positivity rate spikes to 9.51, highest since April

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 3,579 new COVID-19 cases and 14 new deaths on Sunday, bringing the total death toll to 11,361and the total number of cases to 914,849.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1300 cases, while Zarqa recorded 337 cases. Irbid registered 687 cases, Balqa 264 cases, Karak recorded 132 cases, Jerash recorded 163 cases, and Tafileh recorded 21 cases. Madaba registered 106 cases, Aqaba 98, Ramtha 140, and Ajloun 123.

The ministry said in a statement that 113 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 131 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 39,045 according to the ministry. Out of 37,642 COVID-19 tests conducted Sunday 9.51 percent of them came back positive.
