Her remarks came during a side event at the Second Global Social Development Summit in Doha, titled “The Suffering of the Palestinian Family under Occupation, Its Impact on Social Fabric, and Innovative Solutions for Social Protection”, organized by the Ministries of Social Development of Palestine and Qatar.
Bani Mustafa noted that sustainable development cannot be achieved without peace and security, stressing that lack of development threatens community stability.
She explained that the recent war on Gaza exacerbated Palestinian family suffering catastrophically, destroying essential infrastructure and violating human rights. Children and women were the most affected, while the elderly and persons with disabilities faced significant challenges accessing basic services and humanitarian aid.
The Minister highlighted ongoing Jordanian field efforts supporting Palestinian brothers and sisters, including:
Dispatching 201 aid convoys comprising 8,664 trucks,
Conducting 568 air-drop operations,
Establishing field hospitals and medical stations in Gaza and the West Bank,
Implementing the “Restoring Hope” royal initiative, providing prosthetic limbs, psychological and social support, and essential needs such as food, water, and healthcare, empowering families to regain a dignified life.
Bani Mustafa affirmed that Jordan will always remain a steadfast supporter of the Palestinian people.
