In a press conference held on Wednesday, Al-Ajlouni stated that the success rate reached 62.3%, which falls within the general success range for the Shamel exam, compared to previous sessions.
A total of 8,351 students sat for one or more exam papers, of whom 5,208 passed. The successful students were distributed across 54 universities and community colleges in 118 academic and applied specializations. Eleven students were absent from all exam papers, while 74 violations were recorded.
Al-Ajlouni explained that the Evaluation and General Examinations Unit at the university completed all procedures related to extracting and accurately analyzing the results, in addition to reviewing electronic feedback on exam questions submitted by students during or immediately after the exam. All observations were studied by specialized technical committees, and appropriate measures were taken accordingly.
The unit also analyzed students’ answers using the difficulty index for all theoretical exam papers, and applied the standard distribution curve for question difficulty levels for grading and extracting the results. –(Petra)
