AMMAN — The Ministry of
Tourism and Antiquities and the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) have wrapped
up this season’s Urdun Jannah program activities, which included musicals, folk
performances, and bazaars held at various archaeological and tourist sites,
according to Khaberni.
In a statement on Saturday, the
ministry said that many Jordanian artists participated in this season’s
activities, which started on July 14 and lasted through September 30 and saw a
large public turnout from all Jordanian governorates.
These events, over 60 in number,
were held in order to stimulate local tourism and familiarize the public with Jordan’s
tourist and archaeological sites. The bazaars, organized by charitable entities
and local community members, also aimed to empower local communities.
