A total of 25 humanitarian aid trucks have entered the besieged Gaza Strip as part of Jordan’s ongoing relief efforts, according to Hussein Shibli, Secretary-General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO).اضافة اعلان

Shibli stated on Monday that 25 out of an intended 60 trucks have crossed into Gaza, noting ongoing Israeli obstacles and settler attacks that continue to hinder aid delivery.

He confirmed that the organization is currently preparing a new convoy of 60 trucks, part of a larger plan to send 180 trucks of aid to Gaza this week.

Speaking to Al Mamlaka TV, Shibli explained that diplomatic efforts are underway with Israeli authorities to coordinate the entry of as many trucks as possible into the strip.

This latest convoy is part of Jordan’s continuous efforts—led by the government and supported by the people—to stand by the Palestinian people and deliver urgent relief, especially amid a dire shortage of essential supplies caused by the ongoing blockade.

On Sunday, the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army conducted three airdrops of humanitarian and food aid over Gaza, one of which was carried out in cooperation with the United Arab Emirates.

These airdrops, targeting multiple locations across the strip, are part of Jordan’s sustained efforts in collaboration with regional and international partners, as well as humanitarian organizations, and are coordinated by the JHCO. The aim is to alleviate suffering and support Gaza’s residents in coping with the hardships caused by the war.

While airdrops offer a critical way to deliver specialized aid swiftly to areas that are difficult to access by land, they are not a replacement for land-based aid. Ground convoys remain the primary, most effective, and prioritized method for delivering humanitarian assistance to Gaza.

Jordan continues to carry out its humanitarian and relief missions for the people of Gaza amid the escalating humanitarian disaster caused by the ongoing Israeli aggression since October 2023.
