11 new deaths, 1,222 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,222 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, in addition to 11 new deaths, bringing the total death toll to 10,753 and the total caseload to 827,504.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 579 cases, while Zarqa recorded 89 cases. Irbid registered 167 cases, Balqa 71 cases, Karak recorded 48, Jerash recorded 32 cases, and Tafileh recorded 18. Madaba registered 28 cases, Aqaba 64, and Ajloun 29.

The ministry added in a statement that some 69 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 54 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 12,828 according to the Ministry of Health. Around 3.94 percent of the 31,040 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
