Discovery of a Rosemary Compound That Promotes Wound Healing
A recent study by American researchers has found that a compound in rosemary can accelerate wound healing while reducing scar formation.

Published in JCI Insight, the study conducted by the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, highlighted that the antioxidant carnosic acid, present in rosemary, aids in skin repair after injuries.اضافة اعلان

Experiments on mice showed that carnosic acid cream speeds up wound healing, restores hair follicles, sebaceous glands, and even cartilage. The protein TRPA1 plays a key role in this process; inhibiting its activity nullifies rosemary’s healing effect.

Other herbs like thyme and oregano have similar benefits, but rosemary stands out for its effectiveness and safety. Researchers hope this discovery can lead to low-cost treatments for wounds and scar prevention after injuries or burns.

A previous study also suggested that carnosic acid may help prevent Alzheimer’s disease and promote brain health.
