The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply has increased the selling price of unified wheat flour produced by private sector mills and Al-Jouda Mill for the current month of September by JD 0.597 per ton, bringing the price to JD 172.792 per ton, up from JD 172.195 in the previous pricing in April.

According to Decision No. 95 of 2025, the ministry also raised the selling price of wheat for all mills in the Kingdom, based on their allocations from the Directorate of Stock Management, by JD 0.465 per ton to JD 140.385, up from JD 139.920 in April.
The decision requires mills to supply bakeries with all their flour needs according to approved bakery allocations, subject to review and approval by the Directorate of Stock Management. Any wheat quantities taken or milled beyond the approved allocation, or sold without approval, will be priced at JD 252 per ton.
The decision specifies an extraction rate of 78% for unified flour and 22% for bran, while extraction rates for other types of flour are determined according to standard specifications.
The ministry issues monthly pricing decisions based on Cabinet resolutions related to liberalizing flour prices and pricing bread, including the 2019 Cabinet decision to reduce the price of unified flour by JD 10 starting February 1, 2019, with adjustments made for changes in fuel prices or other variables.
The government has maintained bread prices since 2018 at JD 0.32 for “large kamaj,” JD 0.40 for “small kamaj,” and JD 0.35 for taboon, mashrouh, wardah, or manqoush bread. The new price of unified wheat flour does not affect retail bread prices, as part of the ministry’s monthly review to balance bread production costs in line with fuel price changes. Flour prices are adjusted upward when diesel prices decrease and vice versa.
Jordan consumes about 90,000 tons of wheat monthly, with 52,000 tons of unified flour allocated for bread production. The ministry continuously issues tenders to purchase additional quantities to maintain sufficient domestic stock.
