Applied Science Private University Hosts ‘BilAraby – Amman,’ Bringing Together Arab Innovators and Changemakers

AMMAN – Applied Science Private University has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering intellectual and cultural initiatives that promote Arab dialogue and creativity by hosting the “BilAraby – Amman” initiative, held under the patronage of former Prime Minister Dr. Abdul Raouf Al-Rawabdeh and attended by Qatar’s Ambassador to Jordan, Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani. The event marked the initiative’s first edition outside Doha, Qatar.

The university’s hosting of the event brought together a distinguished group of national figures, innovators, and changemakers, alongside senior officials, members of both houses of parliament, secretaries-general of institutions and political parties, as well as representatives from the media, academia, and the arts, highlighting the university’s role as a hub for impactful cultural and knowledge-based initiatives.

The initiative was organized by Taj Media and Production Group – Al Taj News as a reflection of the strong fraternal ties between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the State of Qatar, while reinforcing its mission of celebrating the Arabic language and showcasing inspiring Arab success stories across various fields.

The event featured several distinguished Jordanian achievements, including the story of Salam Abu Al-Hija, the first Jordanian woman selected as a candidate in an international astronaut training program. Abu Al-Hija specializes in designing spacesuits and technologies for lunar and Mars exploration and is actively engaged in empowering young people in science, engineering, and innovation.

The initiative also highlighted the journey of Dr. Abdul Basit Al-Rawashdeh, a Jordanian specialist in nuclear medicine, who continued his professional and humanitarian career despite suffering a serious injury, becoming a symbol of resilience, determination, and service.

Another featured success story was that of engineer Hussam Al-Tarawneh, founder of the Karak Creativity Club, who established a community-based incubator to nurture children and young people’s talents in science, technology, the arts, and entrepreneurship. His initiatives have positively impacted more than 40,000 beneficiaries.

In his opening remarks, former Prime Minister Dr. Abdul Raouf Al-Rawabdeh said Jordan will continue to serve as a platform for Arab initiatives, praising BilAraby – Amman as an important space for promoting creativity and Arab cooperation. He emphasized that Jordan, under its wise leadership and with the dedication of its people, has continued its path of development while remaining committed to its broader Arab role.

For his part, Nidal Al-Khazaaleh, Chief Executive Officer of Taj Media and Production Group, described BilAraby – Amman as a cultural and humanitarian Arab project that restores the Arabic language to its rightful place as a vessel of identity, a bridge of civilization, and a beacon of thought and innovation.

Al-Khazaaleh noted that launching the initiative in Amman—its first destination outside Doha—reflects the strength of Jordanian-Qatari relations and a shared belief that genuine investment begins with people, with young people representing the region’s greatest resource for shaping the future. He also expressed pride in Taj Media and Production Group’s partnership in bringing the initiative to Jordan on a voluntary basis in a manner that reflects the close ties between the two countries.

Applied Science Private University said hosting the initiative aligns with its longstanding commitment to supporting scientific, cultural, and community-based events and providing a platform where thinkers, innovators, and young people can engage, exchange ideas, and promote excellence, innovation, and knowledge throughout society.
