A certificate of origin is an international trade document that certifies that the goods in a particular shipment were produced, manufactured, or processed in a specific country. Customs authorities use it to verify the country of origin of goods and determine their eligibility for tariffs and trade agreements.

The Amman Chamber of Commerce issues certificates of origin for Jordanian agricultural, animal, and raw natural resources, for foreign goods being re-exported, and for imported goods purchased from the local market under specific conditions. It also issues certificates for Jordanian industrial products upon exporters’ requests, based on original factory invoices certified by an industrial chamber, along with an officially certified certificate of origin confirming the goods are of Jordanian origin, in line with Article (29) of the Jordanian Chambers of Commerce Bylaw No. (45) of 2009 and the Instructions for Issuing Certificates of Origin of 2013.
