Markazia Toyota Celebrates Historic Achievement at Rally Jameel 2025 with Driver Farah Zakaria and Influencer Joy Ibrahim at the Helm

Amman, April 2025: Markazia Toyota has achieved a major milestone at Rally Jameel 2025, as Jordanian driver Farah Zakaria and co-driver and influencer Joy Ibrahim clinched first place in the PT6 category and third overall behind the wheel of a Toyota Fortuner. This accomplishment marks the first of its kind by a team of the same nationality in the rally’s history, reinforcing the role of Jordanian women in regional motorsports.
A standout in the world of motorsport, Farah made history in 2007 as the first female winner of the Jordan Karting Championship. She remains the only MENA female representative to qualify for the FIA Rally Star world finals. With over 30 podium finishes to her name, Farah has competed in a wide range of events, including karting, rallying, cross-car racing, hill climbs and speed tests.
This year’s all-women Rally Jameel kicked off from the majestic rose city of Petra in Jordan, passing through several Saudi cities like Tabuk, AlUla and Hail, culminating in Al Qassim. Over the course of six days, from 21 to 26 April, 2025, participants covered more than 1,600 kilometers, navigating thrilling challenges in a true test of precision and determination.
A second Markazia Toyota team - comprising driver Rana Haddadin and co-driver Angelina Rehani - also showcased a commendable performance in another Toyota Fortuner, demonstrating strong sportsmanship and perseverance throughout the rally stages.
Markazia Group CEO, Nadim Haddad, expressed his pride in this remarkable outcome, which spotlights the talent and determination of Markazia Toyota’s female drivers in one of the most challenging regional rallies. He added, “We are proud of our strategic partnership with Abdul Latif Jameel and Jameel Motorsport, through TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Jordan, to support this rally and help elevate the role of women in motorsports - especially as their global representation in this field remains below where it ought to be. Toyota is more than just a vehicle; it’s a true adventure companion - the car you trust to conquer the toughest terrains and, most importantly, to bring you back safely.”
Haddad continued, “Our ongoing support for motorsport and women’s participation in rallies is an integral part of Markazia’s mission. We believe this is just the beginning of many successes that will raise Jordan’s profile on the international stage. We remain committed to backing community and sports initiatives that empower individuals, inspire generations and ignite a spirit of competition and innovation.”
As the official sponsor of Rally Jameel 2025, Markazia Toyota continues to demonstrate its steadfast commitment to advancing motorsport in Jordan and empowering women to succeed across diverse fields, while strengthening their presence in regional and international sporting arenas. The event also served as a powerful testament to the outstanding capability, dedpendability and performance of Toyota SUVs, proving their mettle on some of the region’s most demanding terrains.
