ENGINEERING'S PARADIGM SHIFT: LEADING THE AI-DRIVEN TRANSFORMATION
The lecture was followed by the inauguration of the "Dr. Omar Hatamleh" Hall at the Department of Mechanical Engineering in honor and in perpetuity of the University of Jordan for its outstanding graduate and thinker who puts a difference in the development and application of artificial intelligence at the global level as the first Jordanian and Arab to hold this high position in the global NASA.
What I saw with my own eyes from the speeches, lecture, discussion and honoring made me stand a little to highlight the added value that the Faculty of Engineering administration is working on, represented by the dean in particular and the president of the University in general, by communicating with its graduates, who left their mark in the world in order to honor and communicate with them to bring and transfer the benefit of their research centers, their companies and educational and research institutes to all serve the interest and benefit of education and its outputs and improve it to keep pace with tremendous technological progress, especially artificial intelligence, to serve the Jordanian economy, which his money is the human element.
This is what we need in this next stage in light of the tremendous technological progress and the dominance of artificial intelligence on all the joints of disciplines, and the new global changes and conditions that have increased the challenges, which makes us think clearly about the transfer of technology through those who serve as our Ambassadors abroad and in full coordination with the private sector, and encourage the rest of the Jordanian public and private universities to follow suit.
I had an intervention that educational bridges should be built between research centers and Western companies when working on the development of the product for artificial intelligence with third world countries so that there is no gap in the final outputs, because it is difficult for the third world to catch up with this tremendous progress and its various applications in life and reflected on all its sectors, especially since we live on one planet that unites us all.
It is noteworthy that the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Jordan is one of the distinguished colleges globally, where it recently received a QS rating of 150 globally .
