Kyiv regional governor Mykola Kalashnyk announced on Telegram that “another drone attack” occurred, adding that rescue teams were evacuating a residential tower while extinguishing fires.
“Unfortunately, as a result of the enemy’s attack on Vyshhorod, one person was killed and 11 others were injured, including a child,” he said.
This attack follows another Russian strike on Friday evening involving drones and missiles targeting Kyiv, which killed three people and caused power outages for hundreds of thousands across Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that a team of Ukrainian negotiators traveled to the United States on Saturday to discuss the US plan to end the war.
The initial US proposal, drafted without the participation of Ukraine’s European allies, suggested Ukraine withdraw from the eastern Donetsk region and recognized Donetsk, Crimea, and Luhansk as Russian territories.
The US has revised the draft following criticism from Kyiv and Europe, though its current content remains unclear.
Zelensky is scheduled to visit Paris on Monday for talks with French President Emmanuel Macron, according to a French official. (Agencies)
