Kremlin: We are in contact with Iran and concerned about the impact of escalation on the global economy

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov did not provide any details about these contacts, but told reporters that Iranian authorities had not requested a phone call with President Vladimir Putin.

Russia has repeatedly called on both Iran and the United States to de-escalate.
