Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran has not received a response from either Saudi Arabia or Yemen’s Houthi militia regarding its initiative to mediate between the two sides in an effort to end the fighting, as regional tensions continue to rise following Houthi attacks on the Kingdom.
Araghchi proposed the initiative earlier this month as the Houthis intensified their attacks on Saudi Arabia. He also warned that any external intervention in the conflict could further complicate the situation, in response to the possibility of Egypt joining Saudi Arabia in the war against the Houthis.
