A Russian airstrike killed four people in southeastern Ukraine, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration said Saturday, amid an intense exchange of long-range missile and drone attacks between the two countries.

The strike came despite Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s proposal for a ceasefire with Russia ahead of an expected visit by US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner later this weekend.
US President Donald Trump said the two envoys, his top negotiators for ending the war, are carrying a proposal aimed at breaking the diplomatic deadlock in Europe’s deadliest conflict since World War II.
Oleksandr Hanza, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, said the attack on the city of Kamianske killed four people.
He added that five others were injured, including a 30-year-old woman who was in intensive care.
