South Korean President Lee Jae-myung stated on Wednesday that Israel had arrested South Korean citizens in international waters, describing the action as a "blatant transgression of boundaries."

Speaking at a cabinet meeting, he noted that Israel had detained the citizens for reasons unsupported by international law, questioning whether such actions could be allowed to pass without protest.
He expressed his belief that "many European countries intend to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu under an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC), but Seoul must make its own decision on this matter."
