Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated on Thursday that he recently held a two-and-a-half-hour meeting with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei in "an atmosphere based on trust and direct dialogue."

Pezeshkian added: "We are facing external pressures aimed at increasing economic hardship, destabilizing the country, and weakening national cohesion."
He noted that "the enemy's goal behind these pressures is to create a state of public discontent, drive people into the streets, and undermine the structure of governance."
The Iranian President continued: "U.S. officials openly speak about tightening economic pressure on our people with the aim of fostering dissatisfaction."
He clarified that "despite the existence of criticisms and grievances, the current priority is to prevent internal division."
